Robert Neary was born in the town
of East Meadow, NY. His passion for the arts started at an early age when he
would perform the soundtrack to "Hair" and impersonate
Elvis at the many family gatherings. After eight years of
Catholic schooling, Robert began public school and joined the
drama club. Upon graduation,
he went directly on tour with the musicals: "Lil
Abner" and "Grease", for which he starred as
the lead in both. At 20, he moved to Hollywood in search of
his life long dreams. Several guest star roles
emerged quickly, including Fame, Dynasty, and
Alien
Nation. He also co-starred with Jason Bateman in the
movie Teen Wolf Too, and with Harvey Fierstein
and Matthew Broderick in Torch Song Trilogy.

After two years as Jack Wagner's
police partner on the soap opera, General Hospital,
Robert's life started to show signs of unfulfillment.
One night he got down on his knees and asked God to show him
the way. Eight months later, while touring Europe with
another musical, Robert met up with God, and indeed he was
shown The Way.
Upon his return to the
United States, Robert moved to Nashville, where he recorded
two solo Christian albums. (Later a "Compilation" CD of
those two projects was released). Soon his life took a
different direction and
realized his call was to be back in Hollywood, to begin the
work of spreading the Gospel through the airwaves. It was
there, in the same city where his previous life ended, that
Robert became completely Born Again. God revealed to him the
vision of nations being saved through the media. His
instructions were clear, "Seek first The Kingdom and all
else will be given as well".

While seeking the Lord's
Will, his acting resume continued to grow. Robert guest
starred on more television shows including, JAG,
Suddenly Susan, Step By Step,
Martial Law, and Roswell, where he
played Agent Moss during the first season. He was then
offered a lead role in the hit Broadway musical, "Smokey
Joe's Cafe". It was during that show where he met his wife,
Natasha. After a year together on stage, they returned to
California, where Robert incorporated
NearGod Productions.
